Angie grew up in central Florida, sailing, windsurfing, and volunteering for the Clearwater Marine Science Center. She attended Auburn University, where she interned one summer at Mote Marine Lab in Sarasota, Fl, spent a summer at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, and graduated with a B.S. in Marine Biology.

After graduation, Angie traveled to Arlington, Texas, and completed an M.S. in Biology with an emphasis in physiology at the University of Texas at Arlington. Angie has worked as both an informal educator, teaching classes for Discovery Hall in the late 1990s, and as a formal educator for 18 years, teaching secondary science classes including biology, earth science, marine science, robotics, and biomedical health.

She returned to Discovery Hall in the summer of 2021 and will focus on curriculum development and teaching field classes. Angie enjoys sailing, stand-up paddle board yoga, gardening, time at the beach, and time with her husband and two daughters.
