(May 04, 2020) --

To our campers, students, parents, and teachers,

I hope you are all still staying safe, following recommended precautions, and beginning to feel hope that an end to the COVID situation will come soon.  Following Governor Ivey’s ‘Safer at Home’ policy, we will not be opening summer camps as originally scheduled on May 31. Barring another outbreak or with additional directions from the state, we anticipate resuming regular activities on June 28. However, in order to fit in most of our previously scheduled activities, we have adopted an altered schedule which is listed below.  Please review your camp confirmation email or letter, and then check the new dates for the camp and session you were originally scheduled to attend.

We will be reaching out to you via email with information about the safety precautions we will be taking and our expectations for your child’s and your family’s situation prior to coming to DISL.

However, please feel free to contact us by email or phone with any questions you may have or to let us know if your camper or student is still able to attend. We do understand that these changes may not fit every family’s plan and for this, we apologize.  As previously stated, we will honor all requests for refunds.

Please know that we are following the recommendations of the CDC and the Governor’s office as well as the Executive Director of DISL.  If we cannot open safely on June 28, please understand that we will have to make additional adjustments. Thank you for your continued support of our programs!
