Dolphins and Whales

Prerequisites: General Biology

This class will be an introduction to the biology of cetaceans (toothed & baleen whales). Topics covered will include evolution, taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, genetics, behavior and conservation related to species within this order. Lab exercises will introduce current methods used in cetacean research.
