Summer Undergraduate Mentoring Program helps students plan next step

As undergraduates attending summer classes at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, students can earn more than just credit hours. They can also participate in the Undergraduate Mentor Program. The program connects each selected undergraduate with a graduate student mentor, offering a valuable and enriching experience.

It’s an excellent opportunity for students to identify their long-term and short-term career goals.

The graduate mentors are not tutors. They listen, provide guidance, and help you achieve your goals and overcome challenges.

To apply for the program, fill out this form.

Applications will be reviewed beginning on May 1, 2024. It’s anticipated around 20 students will be selected for the program.

If you have any questions, contact Kelly Dorgan, Mentorship Program Coordinator.
