This day-long camp for ages 8-11 allows campers to combine their interest in art in nature. Campers will observe the use of camouflage among Alabama’s coastal animals practice their observational skills and microscope techniques. Applying their observations, they’ll create their own new Alabama coastal species using vegetables, candy, or recycled materials! Campers will explore patterns in nature taking a short walk along the beach or in the forest as weather permits.

After lunch we’ll dive into the deep sea, exploring light in the ocean, continuing our exploration of camouflage and bioluminescence, and sculpting deep sea features using our augmented reality sand table. During the day, we’ll take time for lunch, snacks and fish printing their own camp t-shirt or bag!

  • What to wear: Comfortable shoes and clothing. Campers may get a little wet and messy.
