Come and dive into the world of fish, or is it fishes (FUN FACT: It’s both depending on use!)? Fish take on many forms, which allow them to adapt to their various environments. Molded by the environmental pressures that impact everything from eating to swimming to habitat choice, these FINtastic creatures have adapted to live unique lives in the sea. During this virtual 5 hour workshop spread over 3 days, participants will examine the largest vertebrate group on the planet. We will discuss these animals in “depth” and provide you with classroom activities, a specimen kit with identification labels, and a Coastal Shark poster to use within your classroom.
When completed, the participants will receive 6 contact hours of professional development.
Day one Topic: Fish Adaptations & Diversity
Day two Topic: Fish Habitats
Day three Topic: FIsheries Science & Management
