(February 13, 2015) --
Hit the beach and earn college credit this summer at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL). Located on a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, the DISL is a consortium of 22 colleges and universities in the state of Alabama. The DISL campus is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico, Mobile Bay and Mississippi Sound, making it an ideal location for marine science study and research.
As the marine science campus of its member institutions, the DISL offers summer college courses for credit in topics ranging from “Dolphins and Whales” to “Hurricanes of the Gulf Coast” to “Shark and Ray Biology.” The DISL is offering more courses this summer than ever before. Fellowships and work-study opportunities are available.
DISL offers courses in a May session (May 18-29); and two five-week sessions (June 1-July 3 and July 6-August 7). Deadline for priority registration is February 14, 2015. For more information, visit http://www.disl.org/undergradoverview or email the DISL Registrar at email@example.com.
